Biography

Nick Cass is an artist and lecturer. He teaches in the School of Media and Communication Design at Leeds College of Art and has recently been appointed as a Research Associate in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at Leeds University. Undertaking a research based PhD; his interests are focussed on the role of artists and artworks as part of interpretive strategy within heritage sites and museum collections.

He has exhibited widely and also worked extensively with museums and galleries as both a full time education officer, and as a freelance educator. He continues his support of innovative museum education in his role as a trustee of the charity Stretch, which seeks to offer targetted educational opportunity to vulnerable people.
