Museum
Glass Box Gallery, Salford 1998
An illusory museum consisting of seven empty plinths, each less than one cm thick. Plinths become the subject of a theoretical viewpoint (the perspective station point) and a real viewpoint, the position of the spectator. By overlaying references to ideal and real viewpoints, a complex web of narrative references is created.
Museum Plinth, a small Fablon work on paper in an edition of 25, was made as part of this installation.
